Gambrinus Stein 0.75 ltr., cobalt, , hand-painted, Thewalt 1893

Gambrinus in kingly garb sits casually next to a beer keg as he regards a foaming chalice and holds s a scepter in the other hand. As he sits there and toasts to you, the scene is framed with medival style stone colums. A hops & leafs relief band runs around the top of the stein while a deep relief lion and beer much encircles the bottom of the stein. A very detailed conical lid, made of genuine pewter, rounds up the royal appearance of this stein. To the left and right are poems, relating to the story of Gambrinus: Gambrinus werde ich genannt, König von Flandern und Brabant.
