Viking Stein with pewter lid, hand-painted
It is said that actually the Vikings discovered North America.
The legend goes that Leif Eriksson landed around 1.000 years ago in Greenland.
Some years later, they even voyjaged further west and set foot on the shores of what is Canada today.
In honor to the fearless seamen, we offer to you this three-themed stein, showing a Viking Warrior (Leif Eriksson, son of Erik the Red) with a silver helmet. A Warrior shield and the banner "Viking", as well as the side motifs are framed with Norsemen symbols.
The motif on the left shows a Viking ship on a stormy sea, with a Viking looking out for land or safe waters. On the opposite side you can see a Viking ship on calm waters, leaving a green land, sailing
eastwards towards home.
